Meet the most well-known entrepreneur, CEO, and founder: Jeff Bezos

Meet the most popular Jeff Bezos founded Amazon on July 5, 1994, which is the source of much of the entrepreneur’s wealth.

Since then, it has only been uphill. Bezos was able to increase his wealth even further during this crisis and economic downturn. Despite the disaster that is the coronavirus pandemic, a rise in Amazon’s share price is to blame for the billionaire’s increase in wealth.

The CEOs of Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook were questioned on Wednesday at a hearing by a House subcommittee regarding whether or not the largest technological companies use their reach and influence to benefit themselves and their rivals. The CEO of Amazon made his first appearance in front of Congress when he testified on Wednesday.

Amazon comes in last, according to eMarketer, a researcher. by a wide margin, accounting for 38.7% of all online retail sales in the United States. Business Insider reports that the company’s streaming service, Amazon Prime, has more than 150 million global subscribers.

Since his wealth is the only topic of conversation these days, it really is hard to imagine the media owner, investor, industrialist, entrepreneur, or anything else but wealthy. However, Bezos revealed in his opening statement to Congress during the antitrust subcommittee hearing that his life was not always idyllic.

With a story from his own life, Jeff Bezos began his opening statement. He talked about Jackie and Miguel, his parents, who gave him the love and support he needed to be successful in life. Before he amassed an incredible fortune, he just had an abundance of a caring family, a family that cultivated my interest and urged me to think beyond practical boundaries.

Bezos related the story of his mother, who was just 17 years old when she became pregnant while attending high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His grandfather came to an agreement with the principal when the school tried to get rid of her. She was able to graduate, but she was not permitted to walk across the stage with the rest of her class at graduation, participate in extracurricular activities, or use a locker.

Bezos’ mother persevered and was determined to continue her education despite the difficulties. She enrolled in night school while accompanied by her infant son throughout. She met Bezos’ father as a result of this choice.

When Bezos was four years old, Miguel, his father, adopted him. Miguel was a 16-year-old Cuban boy who had no friends and spoke no English when he arrived in the United States. He was a part of Operation Pedro Pan, which helped Cuban parents send their children to the United States without their parents during Castro’s rule. Miguel persevered despite the fact that he had nothing and no one to call upon. He eventually received a scholarship to attend college in Albuquerque, where he met the mother of Bezos.

Bezos draws inspiration and support from his grandparents and his parents, who are both loving, resourceful, and hardworking. He was able to grow the Amazon we know today from a garage-based business under their direction.
